Some Heat Relief

 As the Heat Dome shifts east, our temperatures are much more seasonal and rain chances improve day by day. This MIGHT be a pretty nice weekend, with a return to cool mornings and seasonal highs and rain. I got lots done this morning. 

Heat Dome Moving East

 "Cooling" trend and rain chances increase. It might actually be a nice weekend. It's been a while since I've had one of those. Looking forward to it! 

Currently, I am reading Sue Grafton still, now on "P", and Eliphas Levi's "History of Magic". C. S. Lewis called magic an evil dream. I see no distinction at all between spell casting and praying. None. If one is an evil dream then so is the other. Offsetting penalties and no gain?

Survive Today-- Survived Yesterday

 If it isn't a bomb cyclone it's a heat dome. Life in the PU is a nasty business. All the more reason to refuse to have any children. Look at the existence you're condemning them to. I'm happy not to be guilty of such a crime of selfishness. My outlook is jaundiced, of course, and if my opinions offend, bugger off. Too many busy bodies running around-- the Karen syndrome. Nothing I can do about any of that, so on to the task of living my own daily life, under a HEAT DOME!!

I admit to having rather unusual thoughts and feelings-- consider the fact that most of what the universe is, is non-sentient. Unaware. That makes it a corpse, effectively. Think about that. It's all dead, for the most part. Nothing inside. Scary, isn't it?

Survive Today And Tomorrow

 Two extremely hot days and then moderating temps and rain chances. Just need to get through today and tomorrow. Heat dome? Climate gone crazy to match the rest of things? Humanity chooses to use babies as the weapons of self-destruction. The human race self-destructs via over-production of those little bouncing babes (Awwww, how cute!), and those tykes might as well be so many bouncing betty bombs. I think that's funny. I can't really say that I have any regrets at all about choosing NOT to father a child. No, not even one. I thought in terms of financial goals, and I weighed the cost of child care vs those goals and it was a no-brainer. Most people would be ever so much better off if they would choose not to have children. The math is obvious. 

Gotta watch out for those instincts. They can easily kill us all. 

Extreme Heat

 Tomorrow and the next day are going to be rough-- not the hottest it's ever been here but pretty bad. After that, if the darned forecast proves to be accurate, and they rarely are, we get some relief and even some rain chances. I am still hoping for a deluge on the 4th of July, and on the third and the fifth. Mornings have not been bad, at least. Evidence accumulates that the ETs piloting the UAPs are indeed idiots. They crash regularly and pull stupid stunts, and they run around naked, breathing our alien air and exposing themselves to our bugs, and exposing us to their bugs, and if they are products of genetic engineering the genetic engineer had a twisted sense of humor. Either that, or the people reporting these things are the idiots. Hmmm. Some combination of pathological liars, half-wits, lunatics and so on are at play, and this we can be sure of. Is it the humans, or is it aliens? My money is on the humans. No alien from from an advanced civilization could be that stupid. 

Human beings are the perfect poster children for "stupid". In my humble opinion...

Very Hot

 But it looks like the heat wave breaks next week, after delivering a couple of record highs. Amazing extremes now, in my area, ranging from high temps well above 100 F, to lows approaching 0 F.
