Same Location Again

But this morning I finally relocated the alley where my late wife and I did test pics with the Nikon. That was back in 2013. Maybe even 2012. I've wanted to go there again. But never got around to it and forgot where it was. This morning I stumbled onto it and took MANY photos and I plan to get as much out of those pics as I can. There were some people loading stuff from their SUVs into one of the stores along this alley, through a back door. So I had to explain what I was doing there. I'm sure they decided I was a harmless goofball.  And I felt a bit safer. But it will take time to process those pics. Meanwhile I have not finished with the pics from last weekend.
I took a few pics to "locate"-- I was not far from Grace Campus, for the homeless.

The inevitable cast away furniture.

Fair Park coliseum in the distance. Will there be a fair this year? Covid-19 is NOT going away, despite what the "president" says.

Weeds and trash and wrecked cars-- that much is normal. More of this next time, then some shifts in location.

Still Exploring The Same Small Area

Zooming in and zooming out and zooming in between.

No, the object above is not part of any UFO defense system.

Since the Lubbock Lights, this town has not been molested by flying saucers. That I know of.

Soon, I will go exploring again. Not quite sure what I will be looking at. I guess I'll find something somewhere. Meanwhile I still have a lot to display here.

More from this location next time.

Still On Location

In the same location.

This is actually not far from the Stubb's BBQ memorial, and I need to revisit Stubb's.

I was also very near the South Plains Fair area. Will there be one this year? If so, what will it be like?
I think of the times I got carry-out BBQ from Stubb's, and I realize it was a very different world then. So much simpler. Less screwed-up.  I will continue this next time.

More From The Same Location

I've been there before but I didn't photograph the same things.

The thing above is not a ghost, but an improvised rain shield above a homeless person's encampment. You find these all over, these places where one or more homeless people shelter, or try to shelter-- I keep running into them because I go to these out of the beaten path places for my photos. It's something I have to be aware of.

So I didn't stick around as long as I would have liked.

More from this area next time.

Same Location

I took a lot of photos in this spot, but not every photo I could have taken. It is just unwise to linger very long in areas like this.

I'll explain why in a future installment.

So many more photos could have been taken here!

Next time.
