On The Way To San Marcos

We are traveling from San Antonio to San Marcos. Nothing here but roadside attractions and traffic.

We planned to visit what used to be Aquarina Springs, a tourist trap. But now it is a wildlife preserve and study area affiliated with Texas State University. We also examined the Texas State campus.

We are getting closer.

I caught this motorcyclist with the zoom lens. When you consider that it was cloudy and I was in the back seat of a moving car and had no way to steady my Nikon, you can perhaps understand why I am so enthusiastic about the lens I found on eBay.

I did this update with Chrome but Firefox might have worked-- I learned that Mozilla Firefox needs to be "refreshed" from time to time. I did that recently and it is much faster and uses less CPU cycles. So maybe it is not so bad. Next update, I will try Firefox again, and compare the "refreshed" version to Chrome. Next time, we will enter San Marcos.

Finishing San Antonio, Heading For San Marcos

This is being done with Google Chrome, photos still represent use of Nikon D200.

Everything vastly changed since the last time I visited. Can't even remember when that was.

What an elegant drinking fountain! In the museum!

Now we are on the way to San Marcos, where I attempted a bit of nature photography. But first there will be lots of traffic!

At this point we are still in San Antonio, but on the road, obviously.

These are glimpses of San Antonio!

I was very happy that I did not have to do any driving! And, I am very pleased with Chrome. It seems to be a very fast and very efficient browser. It took all of the delay and hassle out of doing blog updates. I got a lot done in a very short time.  I am a long way from being finished with this series, but it should go very smoothly. Maybe I will do more frequent updates.
