Here Is More Lubbock!

Of Lubbock, can one have too much? Of course not, not if you are going over the city with a fine-tooth digital comb, photographing it square inch by square inch. That is how I like to look at Lubbock. I have no interest in the "big picture".

And, if you have some familiarity with fractals, you might understand why I take this approach.

Ahhhh! The mattresses! They are all over town.

By the way, this is my Christmas edition. Merry Christmas.

Exploring Wild Places In Lubbock

Plenty of wild places in Lubbock!

Looks desolate, doesn't it?

You just have to keep your eyes open.

It's fun to look for stuff like this.

There is lots of Lubbock left, and when that is done we move to New Braunfels for a while, and zoom in again, to see the details.

We Can Look At Abernathy

In particular, we can zoom in on Abernathy. We found a kind of ghostly abandoned diner. We photographed what used to be a gas station that was once converted into a rental-- my wife lived there shortly after WWII, with her parents. There was a major housing shortage in those days.

It's ghostly.
