 Just as forecast. But no rain yet. Very gloomy and the wind chill is uncomfortable. Record heat not long ago, and now this.

Maybe a lot of rain tomorrow and the next day. I sure hope so. Nothing severe in the forecast, no thunderstorms, just rain. That is very unusual!

 Meanwhile the big clusterfuck drags on, and on, and on. The minions think they are WINNING! So much WINNING! They are getting what they wanted, yes? War here, war there, war everywhere? They love Israel so much more than they love America. They love them some Israel more than they love their own lives, the lives of their families! Alles Fur Israel! Is that Israel not a holy land? Yah! That Israel is a holy land! Is that Amerika a holy land? Nein! That Amerika is NOT a holy land! Minions play, the minions sing, the minions celebrate victory and perpetual war. I'm happy that they are happy. 

Big Change Tomorrow!

 We turn cool, and rain might return! In fact a rather cool few days begin tomorrow, and the warming after that will be rather gradual. We might enter the Mary Month o' May with no heat wave at all! I hear and see predictions of a strong El Nino, but how that might affect us this summer I do not know. More rain than usual would be a good thing, if that's what it means.

Big Weekend!

A sporting event and two nights of George Strait. Wow. At least I think that was it. Something like that. I was not even aware until I overheard remarks in the supermarket to the effect that everything in Lubbock was booked up. I never really noticed anything because I was very far the the action. I guess a good time was had by all. Not the sort of thing I'd have the slightest interest in. Quite warm! It will be even warmer today, and then a change for the new week. The new work week. I have not had a work week in over twenty years. But I have not forgotten what it was like. 

I guess I don't really care about TTU. Not my problem. I can't really say that I enjoyed much about my tenure at TTU (TTC in those long ago days). Most of what I did enjoy had nothing to do with academics. More like drugs, sex, and rock & roll. Not necessarily in that order. It was the sixties. The swinging sixties. The soaring sixties. Acid burned a hole in my bellbottoms. Like, we're all one, man. Can you dig it? Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair. Hell no, we won't go. Off the pigs. And so on. Those were the days my friend. We thought they'd never end. And you didn't need a weatherman to know which way the wind was blowing. Weather underground, SDS. And then the borg, the corporate organism, assimilated us, chewed us up, spit us out, and ravaged the earth.

 The new Chancellor of TTU just might be the sort of rightwing cretin who could be the death of TTU. A Greg Abbot appointment?  A bigot? No surprise there. What next I wonder? Nice weather continues, nevertheless. But there will be no references to global warming at TTU. There will be no references to racism or genocide at TTU. There will be no references to women's health at TTU. And so on. We will have no diversity at TTU. No no. None of that! Crayon the Cretin will toe the party line. None of that "liberal" education shit at TTU! The Party forbids it! Certain books will be removed from the library and they shall be placed upon the bonfire at the next "Pep Rally"! Death and destruction to all things and all ideas that do not conform to the norms of THE PARTY! All rise and shout HEIL!! The local MAGA morons will rejoice. 

Bad Weather!

 Not here, but in Oklahoma last night. Texas Tech has just taken a big step backward, into the realms of bigotry and hate so favored by the religious right. Next thing you know, everything taught on campus will have to be Bible-based, history revised to suit the right wing fantasy world, critical thinking outlawed, science gutted, and so on. Nice Weather Lately!

 I certainly am enjoying it. So nice. We could use more rain. I watered everything last evening. It will not be quite so warm tomorrow. Evenings and mornings are cool and very comfortable. 

I've been somewhat busy lately, but I'm doing what must be done.

 Corporate media goes silent or simply relays lies and propaganda. The independent journalists on Youtube are being deleted or their work is simply not appearing in the "feeds". Frum Report was deleted but there is a Frum Reporttwo active now. The war goes on, and there is no peace in sight. And there will be bad news, but it will be hard to get that news. You'll see the evidence though, of bad things happening, even though the corporate misinformation/disinformation/propaganda machines won't report the truth. 

It is another cool and cloudy and humid morning. Coffee on the patio was vintage this morning. And yesterday, again, I accomplished a lot. I intend to accomplish many things today.

 Cool cloudy and wet, but so much accomplished! A satisfying feeling was had by all. Progress on so many fronts, movement is so many directions. A long list of tasks completed. A feeling of completion was had by all. But now in the early afternoon there is sun. At last. And the wind is down. 

A warming and drying trend begins tomorrow.

 Yes, nice enough today and tomorrow but Saturday will be a bit on the cool side. I'm not sure when the norther is supposed to move in. No hard freeze in the forecast, and that's good. A lot accomplished today but there's a rather strange vibe going on. Something appears to be a bit off, a bit strange. 

It might just be a quality of the light today.

 Rain today is not very likely but it is at least possible, with a 20% chance, according to the local forecast. A Long Way From Being "Over"

 We had some great rain yesterday and no severe weather, just really good rain. More rain today is likely and the risk of severe weather is even less. 

I filled my gas tank yesterday for a little less than $20 for half a tank and that should last two or three weeks. I expect prices to go a lot higher in the near future. Morons are still running the show. The clusterfuck is still clustering and still fucking.
