The weather is unusual. It is very humid, very cloudy, and each evening there is a thunderstorm near us. Last evening it was stormy north of us. Heavy clouds and thunder. This evening it might be on top of us. The day is cloudy enough, and humid enough. Anything could happen. Temperature swings from day to day have also been rather dramatic. Is it El Nino, then? Or is it the arts? I was up before sunrise again, not even 5 in the morning and I was up and about. But I was in bed by nine. That works for me. I like the early morning.
You know, it is even cloudier today than it was yesterday at this time. As much as it has rained, the playa lakes are still not as full as I would like to see them. I like to see them on the verge of overflow. I remember when they DID overflow, and flood surrounding streets. Those were the days! I think it has been about a dozen years since that happened. We would sometimes have epic rainfall. It would be nice to have epic rainfall this summer. It might be the last time I get to experience such a thing.
Why don't we all hold our breath, and pray for rain? A LOT of rain!
