Is It Over Yet?

 Obviously not. Cloudy and humid this morning. And it is supposed to be a very hot day. Temps go up and down. No rain clouds last evening. Maybe the air is a little drier. I think we have pretty good rain chances for the weekend though.

I remember when Texas Tech's great claim to fame was ICASALS. I never hear anything about that anymore. We used to have an astronomy department and a telescope in a small observatory but the telescope is long gone and TTU might not have an astronomy program anymore. I haven't bothered to check. Lubbock is no longer the City of Mums. How that got started I never learned. The ABC rodeo is still around, I think, but I do not believe that it is the BIG DEAL it used to be. The Panhandle South Plains Fair is still around and it is still an attraction every September. Been there and done that and I see no reason to do it again. SOSO. I prefer the memories. I guess, even though we are Israel's puppet state, with both major political parties controlled by AIPAC and billionaire Zionists, not much will change on the surface. Endless war in the cesspool that is the Mideast is guaranteed, but endless war has been the norm since WWII. And most of those wars were pointless. We lost in Vietnam, decisively, but nobody wants to tell the truth about that. Afghanistan was a bloody waste, and another loss, but I think if the right people profit then it doesn't matter. As long as someone is making money, war is OK, whether we win it in any sense or not. SOMEBODY wins, SOMEBODY is going to be richer. And that seems to be the point. That big fat aircraft carrier, the Gerald R. Ford was a piece of shit from the very beginning. It turned out to be worthless. But the right people made lots of money on it, pocketing taxpayer dollars, so it was all OK. Who cares as long as the Epstein classes get richer, eh? America is a joke at this point, a total farce, a clown show. Those old stars and bars don't mean shit. Or so it seems to me, a bitter and disenchanted old man with a grudge against almost everything. Almost.
