More Storms More Rain

 I don't think any of last night's storms were severe. It was good to get more rain, but it really is starting to get very soggy out there. Mosquitoes are bad. If the city is too poor to pick up trash illegally dumped within the city limits, if it can't make a minimal effort to keep Lubbock clean and attractive, then I doubt that they will spray for mosquitoes, even though the mosquitoes are a public health menace. Why should a pack of self-absorbed ego-tripping fat cats give a damn about public health? I would say that Lubbock is going to the dogs because the mayor and city council are worthless. Are they corrupt as well? If so, I would not be surprised. 

Actually, grifting seems to be the name of the game at all levels of government, top to bottom. Feed thyself. Take the money and run.
