Very Much Above Average!

Very warm for this time of year and recently we broke an all time high temperature record for the date. Maybe next week we'll get to seasonal norms and maybe some rain, which would be good because we are edging into drought conditions. Again. And every picture on my computer has vanished. Thanks, microsoft, for the sabotage.

Nope, they just didn't show up in the usual places, but I don't appreciate this change which must have come with a recent update.

A Searchable Database Of Epstein Files

 https://couriernewsroom.com/news/we-created-a-searchable-database-with-all-20000-files-from-epsteins-estate/

The link is above. 20,000 files from the Epstein estate. Free. The people who did this did it as a public service. It's a good thing we've got such people, doing the right thing. Record highs continue, mornings, cool but not cold. I like the warmth, frankly.

Mornings Very Cool

Record highs after those cool mornings, and it cools off rapidly in the evening. Couldn't be better, except for the lack of rain. Gobs of sunshine. I use heat very moderately, and AC not at all. Lowest electric bill ever.

A lot of very wealthy and powerful men do NOT want the Epstein files released. I suspect that they ordered a hit on Charlie Kirk to create distraction and diversion and make the Epstein threat go away. Now that it is back, what do they do? Who to kill? What to do? Can they orchestrate a "terrorist" attack, killing hundreds if not thousands? Would they go so far as to kill President Trump, and conspire with Vance to have the files sealed or destroyed? We are talking about many men in many countries, who need desperately to make the Epstein files "go away"-- forever.

Perfect Weather

Lack of rain is the only problem. Cold mornings and very warm days continue. I like this weather a lot. But I'd like it better if we could get some rain. I'm getting the impression that MAGA males, especially conservative Christian MAGA males, really get off on the idea of raping preteen girls. So Trump's Epstein ties would only make them admire him more-- "What a MAN! That Trump is my kinda guy! Rip 'em and rape 'em Donny Boy!" And it's been common knowledge for thousands of years that with wealth comes pathology and, let's face it, EVIL. The richer they are the fouler they are. The typical modern billionaire would make Caligula look like a boy scout. There are undoubtedly exceptions but very few and very far between.

I kind of expect that it won't be long before the Orange deity will suffer from running sores, open and painful wounds on his lower legs, due to fluid retention and peripheral vascular disease. He'll need the attention of a wound care specialist. He's going to be in a lot of pain. His feet might have to be amputated.

After The Big Day

It turned out to be a boring game. I caught about 75 seconds of it and I was bored. I guess TTU will rise in the rankings. I guess the homecoming fans were satisfied. I guess a lot of them left early, since TTU had such a big lead and BYU wasn't able to accomplish anything. Cold this morning but sunny and it didn't freeze. Probably a freeze tomorrow morning but by mid-week it will be quite warm again. It sure is dry. Still a paucity of migratory birds. They are late this year. Things are pretty stable in my life. I retired in 2002. I worked in a research lab for a year, beginning in 2004, I think, and I don't understand why I did that. I fulfilled my obligations there and quit. They needed someone with expertise in a certain area, and they got that. I got to write part of a grant proposal and I proofed the document before it was submitted to NIH. It was funded and I was asked to return to work on that new project but I declined. Enough. Some people feel lost after they retire and have too much time on their hands. Not the case with me. I was happy to have left the work force and happy to be master of my time and I threw myself into projects of my own, ramped up my personal exercise routines, and gave much time to hobbies. I have never had any regrets about retiring so early. It has all worked out quite well.

Long ago I made a list of things I wanted, and in one form or another I've gotten everything on that list, and then some. Maybe I should make another list. But I'm not sure what I'd put on it.
