Some areas on the plains here did get a fair amount of rain but Lubbock had a light mist for the most part and although yesterday was cool and cloudy and quite gloomy, no rain came, and it was all very disappointing. Our entry into May, the Mary month, will feature mild conditions, no heat wave, and only slight rain chances. Amazingly, when I went to shave this morning, I found my soap mug full of soup! No, not really. And what kind of soup would that have been anyway? A soapy soup, no doubt.
The sunshine today is welcome, and warming is welcome.
