New Braunfels Texas 2019 #1

Odds are there will be a second installment of New Braunfels, Texas, later in the year.

As usual, I'm doing the microcosm approach. No wide angles and no long shots. I like details. The stuff above is known locally as "loquats".  Up north they call it a Japanese Plum. Either way they are tasty although they are mostly seeds, and big seeds, too. They can be made into a great jelly if you like that kind of drudgery.

Not wise to eat too many at one sitting.

More details. I'm gonna string these pics out, a few at a time. Lots more to come.

So! Now! More Lubbock!

Last time around I posted a pic of the entrance to an alley in downtown Lubbock. Let us see what is in that alley! Yes, I went there.

These alleys never fail to be interesting.

They are funky.

You never know what you will find. And, next update, we will be in New Braunfels. Those pics will have to be reduced in size, because of the camera I used. Sorry.

Why Not More Lubbock?

So...

Most of this stuff, except for the last pic, is associated with an automotive dealership currently experiencing legal problems. I wonder about the status of the vintage and antique autos. Legal limbo?

I also like to use reflections to get interesting effects. This is downtown Lubbock by the way.

Sights of this city. Downtown.

When I finish this series I'll be in New Braunfels for a while. I've got some interesting pics from that location. Meanwhile, there is more of Lubbock to go.

Uncovering More Lubbock

Yep, it feels good to be puttin' up my pics again. Welcome to Lubbock and welcome to the South Plains. That is the area I generally document.

I am still exploring behind the old K-Mart.

After examining that area, I tried downtown. Always something to see there.

They've been working on this building for a long time. Someday it might even be finished.

Kind of a sad story here. I won't go into that. Artifacts remain. And we will see some next time.
