In the middle east, of course. Where else could it be? One would rather like a 100 meter diameter nickel iron meteor to smack into the geographic center of what constitutes the "middle east". And then the world could move on, hopefully on a saner track. But hoping and wishing picks no cotton. But as far as I'm concerned, delete the middle east. Our weather improves day by day! Saturday I plan to accomplish some very important work outdoors. Temps will be ideal, and if I can't get it all done Saturday, I will finish it the next day. I have no problem at all working on a Sunday. I'll work whenever I want to or need to. I'm still making gains in the gym. That is so gratifying. I am almost as old as DJT but I enjoy a sound mind in a sound body. Of course, my life has never been characterized by filth and perversion, self-indulgence and sloth. Unlike DJT. whose very name is a synonym for filth. In my humble OPINION. But I think the evidence is certainly out there. Like the truth, it is out there. And I have to conclude that his minions and devoted butt-kissers, are all very much like him-- not salt of the earth, but rather scum of the earth. Or so it seems to me. Of course, some people just might be too dumb to know any better. And I feel sorry for those poor lost souls. I really do.
This blog is an ARTISTIC regional photo journal. I focus on mundane scenes. ANY AND ALL STATEMENTS I MAKE HERE ARE MY OPINONS ONLY! I OFFER NOTHING WHATSOEVER AS A STATEMENT OF FACT! The photographs are offered as ARTISTIC EXPRESSION ONLY! They are not representative of anything other than themselves. Most of the places mentioned here have surely changed substantially since they were visited. Check my list of recommended sites at the bottom of this blog!

A Warming Trend
It won't be long and we'll be in the seventies F, and that will be excellent. The snow melted and the impact on the playa lakes has been minimal. We still need quite a lot of rain. It might be somewhat windy today. It will be dry, and it is partly cloudy. More sunshine would be appreciated but at least we have SOME sun. Some sun is better than no sun. I used to be a fan of cloudy days but that all changed years ago.

Brief Cold SNAP
Nothing like what we experienced a week ago. I got to the gym and I actually made gains, rather than losing ground. Probably because I worked out a lot with my free weights while I was stuck indoors.

I Had A Lot To Do
There was a lot of catching up for me to do but I accomplished it all yesterday. I can start getting back to normal in terms of my daily routines and I'm no longer housebound, hemmed in by snow and ice and extreme cold. How I hate winter.
While I was stuck in the house I exercised more than I normally would, and that was a good thing, at least. I did a lot of jogging indoors, for instance. There are two exercises I just can't do at home: hip adduction and hip abduction, with high resistance, up to 160 lbs. And there's just no substitute for the gym machine I use for those exercises.

The Snow Melts Slowly
More sun today and warmer temps will help the process. I got the car out of the garage yesterday to get some things I ran low on during the siege and put a few miles on it to charge the battery-- cautious miles. I'll try more today, and yet more tomorrow. Winter sucks.
I will be happy to return to my normal routines. Everything has been disrupted since last week, Friday.
