Our Fine Weather

 This fine weather continues.

And it really is very fine.

Cool Now

This is a significant cool front. Somewhat chilly outside and very damp, but not dripping wet. No heavy rain but rather a heavy mist situation. Later next week it changes to warm days and chilly mornings, and mostly partly cloudy. That will be rather nice. That sort of weather could carry us into mid-September, and those conditions are really ideal for this time of year. Much work can be done!

I'm quite sure now that polio will be making a comeback in the USA. The morons destroying this country will confer upon it diseases not seen in many years, among other things. The morons will dish up all manner of foulness and heaping plates of idiocy. But they will not be immune from the consequences. They will not be exempt from the hammer of reality.

In The City Of Drunks

Power out, emergency vehicles. Another drunk driver and another power outage but it was brief. From now on, I refer to Lubbock as the city of drunks and druggies. City of Drunks! City of Druggies! I wish it was still the City of Mums. But those days of relative innocence are gone for good, the little ones. And God will stuff the bullet holes with candy. Lorca.

This wonderful spider had a long life because I protected it. I'd have been happy to slaughter every shit-for-brains Bible thumping evangelical scumbag on the planet to prolong the life of this spider, and that gives you some sense of my priorities. But on to finer things, like cool mornings and honest labor with heart and hands engaged. Muscles and sweat, engaging with nature. Here's a sad fact: MOST of what comprises the human world, human culture, is sick shit.

Getting Hot Again

It's part of the seasonal temperature roller coaster. Another system arrives this weekend and temps moderate yet again, with at least some rain chances. The ground is still soaked, however.

FIne Mornings & Fine Evenings!

We are told that in heaven everything is fine. Here we have fine evenings and fine mornings and days that are warm rather than hot, and I have accomplished so much I can chill out this fine Labor Day. You know, I have not worked at a job, as such, in the sense of being on a payroll, in over twenty years, but I've been active and productive every day. No slug-a-bed am I, nor am I a couch potato, and I never have been such a one. I can't sit still that long. I have to be doing something. If I am not doing something with my body I am doing something with my brain, but frequently both at once.

I am giving some thought to the use of a dust mask when I work outdoors because the vegetation is so dense and the soil now is probably full of mold and bacteria that might be an issue for someone my age. I believe I've reached the point of needing to take my age into consideration, darn it.
