One Day Heat Relief

That's what we've got today-- a reprieve from the relentless heat but it will last only one day. Enjoy it while I can. I did last evening, out on the patio. It feels great this morning. Eventually this heat wave will pass, and then we get to deal with bomb cyclones and sub-zero F wind chills. I hope we have some kind of transition between the two extremes.

Dream on.

Cloudy, Windy

Getting a break in the heat at last. I was thinking yesterday of foods I don't see anymore, like parsnips. Mass consumption means even the foodstuffs get dumbed down and reduced to the most common and profitable items. I remember when I could buy spiced apple rings in a can, BBQ in a can, potato salad in a jar. Most people, I find, are quite childish and have childish tastes. Horrible to think of children using iphones and wasting time with social media. If they grow up thinking that a facebook "friend" is real, they are lost. I rarely see anyone reading a book anymore. Eyes fixed, glassy and vacant, on their stinking "smart" phones. I really think that humanity is ready for extinction. One of life's many failed experiments. It's very sad. I don't think that thinking animals work very well. A thinking animal is kind of grotesque, when you think about it. HAHAHAH.

When people DON'T think they do stupid shit, and when people DO think they do stupid shit. Hydrogen bombs and ballistic missiles and AR-15's are all stupid shit. Monkeyshines and monkey shit.

Slight Cooling

Yes, a slight cooling, very slight, is on the way, but it won't last long. And then we will be cooking again. Many laughs.

Yes, the season of COOKING is still upon us, and the time of COOLING is ever so far away...

Another Record High!

106 F yesterday and probably the same today, before some brief relief on the weekend. It's kind of funny that hypertrophied monkey brains will turn out to be a greater threat to life on earth than any killer asteroid. Global warming might be entering an exponential phase, and if that's the case it is probably time to kiss your ass goodbye.

We can't even turn to the saucer pilots for help, since they seem to be quite stupid themselves, judging by all the reported crashes and alien bodies. They usually look like something crafted rather crudely from fiberglass. Yes, the space people have shit for brains. At least, they have something in common with human beings.

The Heat Continues

Same old same old, as the heat goes on. I wish winters would turn milder, with less extreme cold spells, if it's going to be so hot but it's the worst of both worlds, with extremes every season. I'm managing to stay comfortable but I suspect I'll have a whopper of an electric bill. I've been overpaying consistently for many months, building up credit, to lessen the impact of a heat wave, since I anticipated this sort of weather. I budget a certain amount each month for utilities and that's what I pay, and that is usually in excess of the monthly bill amount, and I do that precisely to minimize the impact of weather extremes. The credit I accumulate offsets peak use and I don't have nasty surprises.

I've lost all interest in manned spaceflight. It seems to me to be nothing but another stupid monkey trick. Most of human civilization, of human history, impresses me as nothing more than stupid monkey tricks. It's all sound and fury that ultimately means NOTHING.
