Good question. Ironic distance is surely the best strategy. I don't have a dog in this hunt. High gas prices? I get good mileage. And if I drive as much as 3000 miles in a year, that's exceptional. More like 2000. High interest rates will be a benefit to me, so I'm certainly not going to be concerned about that. And it looks like most people are getting what they want, so let them have what they want. At my age, I can disconnect to a great extent, and I do believe that is the healthiest thing for me to do. So, it warms nicely today and next week looks quite good in terms of our weather. Warm rather than hot with cool nights. Perfect, except for the lack of rain. And why should I even care about that?? I can water MY turf, easily enough. Yes, I can look on and say: "What fools these mortals be!" And go about my business.
