In a supermarket yesterday I saw many people who seemed very happy and perky. There were also some empty spots on the shelves, and I noted higher prices on several items. I had to wonder what world those happy people thought they were living in. I felt good because I was able to find what I wanted and get out with no problems. Maybe they were just living in their personal "now" and things were going well in their little world. I approach things the same way. My world is well-ordered and as secure as I can make it. One can only do so much. I've been through a lot of crazy shit, and I've noted that the same crazy and stupid shit tends to repeat itself. From Viet Nam to the present, it's the same crazy and stupid shit wearing a slightly different mask each time it comes around. It must have something to do with human nature. We are the authors of crazy shit. Humans create crazy shit and are doomed by our natures to live in crazy shit and eat crazy shit and frequently die because of the crazy shit we generate. So it has always been, and so it shall ever be, until the last poor monkey dies of crazy shit poisoning.
Record heat. It has not felt so bad. No rain no rain. So be it. The clusterfuck is still clustering and still fucking. So be it. It is all very human.
People are going to do what people do best: breed, and kill each other. Truly, we are made in the image of GOD! Sarcasm.
