No, the Floydada Pumpkins is not the name of a high school football team. Actually, the little town of Floydada puts on an annual Pumpkin Festival! They have a parade, and a street fair, with lots of food and the event attracts a lot of people from this area. This time it attracted us! My wife and I visited and looked the place over. We had some good tamales and popcorn. I took a lot of pics, not all of them were of pumpkins. And the local high school football team is named the Whirlwinds. I see nothing wrong with something like Killer Pumpkins, though. As usual, I will post the "impressionistic" stuff first:
