Ropes, as the locals call it! Let's take a look at this bad boy! Ropes has had a few problems lately, and some of the inhabitants fear that people will not travel to Ropes to do their shopping!! Yeah, lots of people, people of high style and high fashion, travel miles and miles from Lubbock to do their shopping in Ropes. Shop in Ropes! Do your shopping in Ropes! The people there will welcome you.
We spent a lot of time in Ropes, and we took a LOT of photos. I will leave you to judge whether my photos are accurate characterizations of Ropes or not. One thing I will tell you, everything I photographed there is in plain sight, easily visible, and not in any way concealed from anyone's eye. Ropes is very small. It is easy to see just about everything there. I avoided some residential areas because they were of little interest to us, and I wanted to respect privacy.
It was not our intention to make a photographic documentary.
If you have an interest in vacationing and sight-seeing and shopping in Texas, we would not discourage you from making Ropes your vacation destination.
