Fall Unfolds

 It is going down quite nicely. Somewhat cloudy today. Moderate temps and breezy. 

October will be here soon. 

Fall Has Arrived!

 Fall, best of all, is looking and feeling the way it should. Cool and rainy yesterday, sunny and cool today and very refreshing. The rest of September looks very good. October, of course, is my favorite month, and I'm always reminded of Ray Bradbury's excellent fiction. October has ALWAYS been my favorite month, as far back as I can remember. October is special. And July is the absolute pits. 

November and December have their charms as well. 

A Nice Change!

 That system finally moved in and it rained a little overnight, more rain is in prospect, and the next few days will be on the cool side. The home team had a big home game yesterday. Odds are, somebody won.  In the big wide world War Rogers rides again. Somebody ought to kill that SOB. Odds are, either nobody will win or somebody will be delusional enough to proclaim that they won. Sad song. SOSO. A curse upon them all. But in another conflict, I certainly DO want one side to crush the other. Go Ukraine! Closer to home, I have not much to do today. I can really chill out with my current books, my guitars, and my chess books, to study  the great master games of the past. I love chess. I've got my Quote Acrostic puzzles, too. I really like doing those. 

I'm also taking a break from the weights this weekend. I really do think I sometimes overdo it. I still haven't accepted limitations due to age. But if I hurt myself that would be a big setback, and I don't want that!

I Hate The Rate Cut

 I feel like savers are being shafted to favor the spenders. The economy runs on spenders, I guess. I am happy though, to contribute nothing at all to economic growth. Not as hot today but humidity is very high and rain later would not surprise me at all. It SHOULD be much cooler tomorrow. Cool and wet, in fact. Maybe it will be like that for several days. I guess I'm as ready as I can be. It's been too hot and too dry lately.

I got a lot accomplished today but it was kind of a sweaty business. 

Hot Day

 Rather hot yesterday and hot again today but improvements after this. I think September will feature above average temperatures. And maybe October as well. And November! And...

I got an important bit of business taken care of early today, and now I can relax. I plan to chill out most of the day, do a lot of reading, play some guitar, study master chess games, do some of my weights. I WILL relax! And keep it SIMPLE!
