More Rain and Cool again

 There were very strong storms north of Lubbock. A norther blew them our way and we got heavy rain again. It will be cool and rainy again today, after a warm day yesterday. Could be a rather hot weekend. It was another vintage and fine evening outdoors! This day began sunny but now clouds move in and it is getting quite dark-- probably another shower coming up. Interesting. I begin to suspect that the summer might be like this, with roller coaster temps and spells of heavy rain. 

Lubbock has a door-to-door sales problem, although the city council won't ban such activity, as other cities have, with their mania for "business friendly" practices, even if those practices imperial home owners. And it's perfectly possible that some fed up individual will put a bullet in a poor door-to-door salesperson. I'm going to try signage. If that doesn't work... 

More Rain Chances

 First, more rain chances, and then it really gets hot. Had to happen. Another brutal summer is on the way. But it might be a bit of a roller coaster, with rather wildly varying temperatures. Time will tell. 

Whatever happened to "Padre Pie-hole"? I seem to recall much hoopla in some circles, about a prophecy of some sort, something that was supposed to happen, but didn't, a couple of years ago... the poor fellow should have kept his pie hole shut. I think prophets in general would be well advised to keep their mouths shut, lest they be embarrassed. But, can those who have no shame EVER be embarrassed?

Getting Warmer

 Getting warmer but Wednesday and Thursday will be a bit cool again with chances of storms. After that some heat. A little more rain before the real heat hits would be useful. MY little world is in good order and that's all I really care about. 

Intruders are not welcome. 

Rainy And Chilly Weekend

 But the rain was GOOD, and it rained quite heavily in some parts of town. I drove through flooded streets a mile or so from my home. Flooded but not impassable. The wind was uncomfortably cool last evening. But now sunshine and warmth are back, but mid-week thunderstorms are possible. Temperatures are set to climb into the nineties soon. Again, I did work outside, making incremental improvements here and there. 

I will be having a few surprises in the coming weeks, as I present what is left of old experiments in "art". After I retired I thought I might try posing as an artist, but eventually thought better of it. But I preserved those awkward efforts. Some of them. 

It's...

 ...an unusual May. Cool and breezy yesterday, cooler and breezy today with increasing cloud cover, cooler yet again over the weekend with 50% to 60% chances of rain and mostly cloudy. I'd expect this sort of thing in October. But I'm not complaining. Soon enough it will be plenty hot and plenty dry. Maybe!

Meanwhile, everything is growing well.
