Bloody hell, what does it take to get some sunshine around here? I got the new Covid vaccine yesterday with no side effects whatsoever and later this month I'll get Shingles number two. I believe in the efficacy and general safety of vaccines and have nothing but contempt for the anti-vaccine crowd. They should get sick already. Piss on them. As usual, there's a whole lotta shit-for-brains going on. Fuck 'em all and let their peculiar deities sort 'em out. HAHAHA! By the way, I now no longer see any of those shitwit "Trump Won" signs around town. I keep hoping all those Big Macs the orange turd gobbles will clog his arteries enough to put him down, the sooner the better. Oh well, one must be content to see what tomorrow brings. Steady as she goes around here. Taking care of business, as usual. Minding the store, so to speak. Doing what must be done and staying on top of things. My right shoulder gets better and better and I feel really good about that.
This blog is an ARTISTIC regional photo journal. I focus on mundane scenes. ANY AND ALL STATEMENTS I MAKE HERE ARE MY OPINONS ONLY! I OFFER NOTHING WHATSOEVER AS A STATEMENT OF FACT! The photographs are offered as ARTISTIC EXPRESSION ONLY! They are not representative of anything other than themselves. Most of the places mentioned here have surely changed substantially since they were visited. Check my list of recommended sites at the bottom of this blog!

Mild November
So far no extreme cold or snow or ice storms. Not much rain. Way too much in the way of cloud cover. It'll be a gloomy month, it seems, but not very cold. I've had to get more realistic about my weights after straining my right shoulder on the chest press machine. If I'd been doing a bench press I'd be dead, or severely damaged. Fighting old age and losing, but at least I'm losing the battle slowly and I was already way ahead of the game. The re-conditioning program I'm on right now might actually pay dividends in the long run, with many more reps than I normally do. If I'm cautious I might actually find that my one rep max has improved from what it was before my shoulder gave out. Patience is called for, and persistence.
I miss my wife very much but I'm sure I made the right decision when I opted to spend the rest of my life as a recluse. No inferior substitutes for me, and no changes of scene or routine. I will not risk putting bad memories over good ones.

More Clouds, More Fog
Not all that cold but it looks bleak outside. This week it seems that sunlight will be in short supply. Maybe a break this afternoon? But that's what I thought yesterday and it didn't happen.
No sunshine did we have today, and that's a drag.

Heavy Fog This Morning
The fog and clouds cleared, finally, but not such a fine day in terms of weather. On the other hand, I got a lot done. I really don't like weather like this, at all. But it'll be much worse, of course.
It should be better tomorrow.

Slowly Warming
It's warming too slowly for my taste and the clouds are still hanging around. We actually had a bit of sleet last evening. I would be very happy for a winter of above average temperatures here, and more rain, but not sleet, not snow, and no ice.
DST came to an end not long ago, but it meant nothing much to me, since I ignored it. Reset one wall clock and the dashboard clock. My Casio G-Shock Solar Atomic digital got its time signal from the NBS and reset automatically. I got that watch on eBay several years ago, actually about ten years ago. I think I paid about $40 for it and that was the high bid. I have no need to observe the DST nonsense and I have no need to be a snob, in the ordinary sense. I guess I'm a little snobbish about being smarter than 99% of the human race, based on all the tests I've taken over the years. But I never show off. I kind of like to come off as more or less ordinary. But I'm not, and that's a fact. My wife and I were in the same league.
