And what a great alley it is.
Some junk nearby, too.
Not the greatest junk, but still it's something. Still happy with Windows 10. Very stable so far. Cases of you know what in Lubbock county over 100 and climbing. Remember when our idiot-in-chief told us it would all go away? Remember when he called it a hoax? Still believe in the guy? Still think he's God's gift to America? Well, if you do, you've got some definite problems.
Maybe you're just to proud to admit that you were CONNED?
It's no disgrace to be conned by a master. It is a disgrace to keep buying into the line of bull. More of this alley next time! By that time Lubbock County might have 200 cases... or more.
And, I got some much more detailed pics. Infections here are seen to increase as more people are tested. Lots of worry about asymptomatic cases spreading the stuff, which seems to have already happened here. My improvised masks are probably worthless. I don't need a reminder not to touch my face while out and about. But, surely, if someone coughs nearby, or someone infected ignores social distancing, and that's true of most Lubbockites, even an improvised mask might make it less likely that one would inhale particulates that might carry the virus? The theory being that liquid bearing the virus would adsorb on the fabric, trapping the virus on that surface. The mask then would have to be removed rather carefully and immediately washed out thoroughly after one use, say, to buy groceries. These improvised masks would be of no use to someone in prolonged close contact with an infected person, and would not likely protect others if you were infected and coughing into the mask, but in a situation where contact is brief, maybe still better than nothing? There is no clear guidance, and that is very irritating.
Back to the alley.
We are not so very far from a flea market, but that flea market is pretty much shut down.
As junk goes, this is not very interesting stuff, I know. It's all they've got in this location. More of this next time. And, I've discovered some useful features in Windows 10, and I'm staring to like it. I have some very old programs, and they are actually working with this operating system.
But I will be back, and next time I will get much more detail. Meanwhile COVID-19 cases in the immediate area are up to 21. A lot of these people traveled out of state. At least one got it in Israel and brought it back to his community. Gee, thanks a lot. Several seem to have picked it up from an infected person in their church, and so on. And a lot of people here and elsewhere in the USA are looking to an unhinged liar, a psycho with a proven record of destroying everything he's ever touched, to lead them out of this crisis. Truly, there is no cure for stupid.
A while back I predicted that Russia would be hard hit. Then I thought better of it, deciding that Putin was much smarter than our idiot-in-chief, but now I am not so sure. Numbers are climbing there. I doubt that they have a very good handle on the actual number of infections.
That's the end of this series. And hey, if you're hoarding toilet paper, why don't you eat the shit and die?
Fascinating, as Mr. Spock might say.
By the way, I see that Dan "Shit-for-brains" Patrick proposes killing off our parents and grandparents so that his corporate cronies can stay rich. Why does that not surprise me?
It does sound like a very conservative and very Republican idea, however.
I'm not done with this area, by a long shot.
Windows 10 still working OK. Had to do a driver update and restart to have full use of the printer but now that is fixed. Had to hunt a bit to locate devices, but once found, no problems.
This is another one of those funky alleys I like so much.
The whole area around this alley is pretty funky as well. My wife and I visited this Cantina one hot summer day, and and found it interesting. Good food, good beer (for me), and a great atmosphere. More of this to go.
I've decide to make no comment on current events. I'm following all the preventative measures. Limiting social contact is no problem for me, not being what one would call a "people person". Far from it, in fact. But if I do in fact get sick, I'll document what that is like for me. So far, though, doing fine.
