Still At The Airport District

Yes, we are still examining the ruins of dead businesses.

Once, the city was proud of this little industrial zone.

Now it is forgotten and disregarded.

Oh well.

Some of these places seem to have been viable until relatively recently. And then something happened...

The Lubbock Airport District

Not much out there now but debris.

You've got your debris, your detritus, and your ruins.

It is being reclaimed by nature.

Out Near The Lubbock Airport

We photographed more buildings in this old "industrial" zone. It was referred to as the Airport District. Nobody seems to be doing much business there now.

I would not be surprised to find that NAFTA destroyed these businesses.

Was this bag of CornNuts the last meal consumed on or about these premises, before the doors closed forever?

Random Old Stuff

While I work on a new batch of Lubbock pics, views, scenes, around town, etc.
The stuff above is actually fossil coral and cretaceous clams, not found locally, I guarantee.

This building is not on campus.

A local courthouse. They all look much alike.

This one is easy-- it's a Magic Bus!

In The Alley

That alley turned out to be an interesting place, in a way.

It was colorful. It was mysterious.

It was cryptic.

It was not an untypical Lubbock alley, however.

Next time, I'll just throw in some random pics of random things.
