More July 4th 2017 In Lubbock, Texas

From now on, it is all about our garden.

Next summer it will be even better, because I have doubled the size of it.

We want to attract birds and insects. Snakes and lizards and spiders are also welcome.

I like a garden that is semi-wild, rather than planned.

If it grows it's good. We don't obsess over weeds. The one thing I do not want is grass: wild grass, oat grass, rye grass, Bermuda, or any other variety-- none of that.

We attracted a lot of bees last summer.

We will finish this series next time, and move on to other adventures.
