More Of That Isolated Lubbock Neighborhood

Obscure, cut-off, one way in and the same way out, like a big cul-de-sac. And it is old.

And the lower reaches of Yellowhouse Canyon were fenced. This is as close as we could get.

And wouldn't you know it, this is yet another informal and illegal dumping ground.

But it seemed like a nice, quiet, area to live. The houses were modest. Most were in fairly good shape and some were very nice. A few were wrecks.

Whoever owns that fenced in piece of Yellowhouse Canyon keeps horses there. We saw these on the way out. Next, we'll visit more abandoned liquor stores and see more sights in East Lubbock County, out in the boonies, where you can do just about anything.
