Looking At Lubbock, Again

My wife and I visited a part of town that has been effectively isolated by construction of the Marsha Sharp Freeway and I-27. It's awkward to get to. We found SHERMAN APARTMENTS, a tiny complex for sale.
On superficial examination they look OK. Get closer and you find many problems. Note that there is no provision apparent for either heating or air conditioning! The units are tiny and poorly designed. There are no appliances. Flooring is rotten. The roof has been leaking.

And there are homeless people and or druggies squatting there.

You could demolish this complex and build something else on the land, but...
...location, location, location. Access is difficult, traffic noise is high.

You've actually got vegetation growing up and into the very structure of Sherman Apartments! Not good. Even if you are an aspiring slumlord, I don't think you could get anyone to live in this complex. In our opinion, the city should condemn this property, tear it down, and build a park for the homeowners in this neighborhood.
