Terrific Weather!

 We will have a "normal" cold front tomorrow, with no snow, no single digits. I completed my repair work as soon as the materials arrived and it's all better than it was originally. 

Warming!

 Not so cold this morning. Looking good.

The frigid air mass is oozing east, and into the deep south. Or so they say. Looks like they'll have a lot of snow. We got none, and that's good. 

Record Low For This Date

 Supposedly we begin to recover from that Arctic front, but we are warming rather slowly. Unless another polar outburst appears, we should be done with single digits. The only good part of this episode is that we remained dry. No snow. No ice. No ice is nice. Not a cloud in the sky at this time. 

Materials I ordered in order to repair some damage due to the extreme cold should arrive tomorrow. I got off lucky, I think, thanks to careful preparation. Of course that ERCOT grid could collapse at any time. Nobody does anything, it seems, except talk and do photo ops for the shit-for-brains Texans who vote for our idiot governor. What is it-- do the state's energy titans have asshole Abbott in their back pockets?? Can the energy sector be held to account? Probably not. All talk and no investment seems to be the case. I'd like to see Abbott the Magat removed from office. But that isn't likely because he just happens to be adept at extruding the fecal material Texans love to eat-- most of them, anyway. 

Lots Of Sunshine

 Clear skies and plenty of sun will help us warm up today, but I expect another single digit morning tomorrow. After, that, rapid warming, and it's about time. Enough of this deep freeze. But it wasn't even remotely as bad as 2020 and 2021 since there was no precipitation with this cold front, not here, anyway. That made things a bit easier to handle. My preparations seem to have been at least adequate. I got one little surprise, though. I've ordered some material to correct that. A minor repair and the result will be an improvement. So irritating. 

A Few Details

 I have only a few more things to be done, as preparation for the Arctic front due to arrive some time today. Nobody seems to know exactly when to expect it, or precisely how bad it will be. It's a mystery! Right now it is quite nice, with light winds, plenty of sunshine, and it is warming nicely. 

Winter is certainly no fun! I've never been able to understand the people who go to ski resorts, who go where the snow is. They are not my kinds of people.
