Windy, Dusty

 But I won't complain. It isn't cold, no snow, no ice, no "historic" blizzard. What is with those idiot weather headlines? ANOTHER freaking historic blizzard?? If something happens several times a year there is nothing historic or generational about it. It's par for the damned course. I would have to say that modern journalism is a joke. Of course, it's corporate and geared to click bait headlines and advertising revenue. There is no enterprise on the planet that capitalism can't or won't destroy, degrade, debase. That includes journalism, medicine, and religion, among many other things. Greed kills. Greed is poison. 

Nice Weather Here

I can do a lot outside, the usual clearing. Some rain chances. Extended forecast is still looking very mild. 

 People seem to be getting crazier. What explains that? William Burroughs had a good idea, way back in the fifties. He described a feedback effect in, I think, "The Ticket That Exploded". 

Like Spring

 It's way too early for Spring to have sprung but the weather is like that and will be like that for several days. Windy of course, but some rain chances. Certainly better than snow, ice, and sleet. I am now reading a biography of James Pike and will follow that with Pike's own book describing his paranormal experiences. After that it'll probably be more conventional mysteries. Plenty of mysteries are going on right here, right now. 

Aberrant human behavior is becoming more common, it seems, and there are other things going on as well. 

Yesterday

 Yesterday began with a wintery mix that turned into light rain. And the skies cleared and now we are having a very definite warming trend but it will be windy every day. Windy. More tortured sinuses. Wind is indicative of the great emptiness of this part of the state. 

Rain is unlikely, as usual. The drought goes on, and on, and on...

Well, Warming

 Above freezing this morning. It seems that the next big weather system will have not much impact on us. Expect the drought to continue, expect enough wind to put dust and dirt in the air to produce that brownish tinge we know so well, among all who dwell, upon this flat and barren land. I got my biography of James Pike and it ought to be interesting reading. The Qumran texts ought to have changed everything but they didn't. No one could allow those discoveries to unstring a big money tax exempt enterprise. I think "Lies Incorporated" is the title of another PKD novel...
