Happy Nude Year!

Or whatever else turns you on. FIreworks were few last night, and far away. ACA premiums will skyrocket and that will hit a lot of the maga crowd hard but as far as those hopeless and depraved goofballs are concerned, trump could have them watch as he rapes and murders their preteen daughters, and they would still cheer and praise his unholy name. Talk about trash. It does not get much fouler than that. Unless you are talking about evangelical magas. Those rank substantially lower. Apart from that, it's big football time in Lubbock as the Red Raiders play a big game today in the Orange Bowl. I might actually watch, provided I can pick it up without having to have cable. I doubt that I would watch all of it because I have better things to do, but I can at least get a sense of which way the scoring might go. As to the outcome, I am indifferent. Nice weather! More record warmth. Maybe we can get some significant rain by the middle of this month. I'm so glad all that holiday stuff is OVER! Back to normal. I hope.

Our Mildly Wintery Spell

It's over. Now wait for the next one. I hate this time of year for many reasons. Winter is one of those reasons. I've never been able to understand celebrating a new year. Never. What the hell is that nonsense all about? It's all quite stupid, like many things people do, that mystify me just as much as celebrating a new year.

A Little Winter

No snow, not all that cold, some wind, some sun, and then it will be gone, gone by noon tomorrow.

No snow, no ice. That's good. But no rain. That's not good. When will it rain again?

WARM Christmas!

It broke the record for the date, as well as for the entire month. That's something. Warm today but a taste of winter is what we will have, Sunday and Monday and maybe Tuesday morning. No ice, no snow, no rain, no sleet, no freezing rain. No to all of that. But moderately cold. For a few days. We had perceptible humidity this morning, and some morning fog a few days ago and even some heavy dew. Otherwise, very dry, still. I trust that someday it will rain.

I will be very happy to have this holiday season in my rearview mirror, again. Just the New Year's eve nonsense, and then a return to normal. And I do mean nonsense. And I do mean normal.

Extraordinary Warmth

We will remain more than ordinarily warm right into the new year. A slight cooling this weekend, Sunday and then Monday and then temps climb again.
