No snow, not all that cold, some wind, some sun, and then it will be gone, gone by noon tomorrow.
No snow, no ice. That's good. But no rain. That's not good. When will it rain again?
This blog is an ARTISTIC regional photo journal. I focus on mundane scenes. ANY AND ALL STATEMENTS I MAKE HERE ARE MY OPINONS ONLY! I OFFER NOTHING WHATSOEVER AS A STATEMENT OF FACT! The photographs are offered as ARTISTIC EXPRESSION ONLY! They are not representative of anything other than themselves. Most of the places mentioned here have surely changed substantially since they were visited. Check my list of recommended sites at the bottom of this blog!

It broke the record for the date, as well as for the entire month. That's something. Warm today but a taste of winter is what we will have, Sunday and Monday and maybe Tuesday morning. No ice, no snow, no rain, no sleet, no freezing rain. No to all of that. But moderately cold. For a few days. We had perceptible humidity this morning, and some morning fog a few days ago and even some heavy dew. Otherwise, very dry, still. I trust that someday it will rain.
We will remain more than ordinarily warm right into the new year. A slight cooling this weekend, Sunday and then Monday and then temps climb again.
Yesterday we topped the highest temperature ever recorded in December here. And that record might fall again on Christmas Day. Of course, evenings and mornings are still cool, but our high temperatures are way above normal for the season. And no rain in sight. It's looks like this pattern will hold right into 2026. I guess I don't mind the record highs. Better by far than the brutal cold we usually have.
This week, one record high temp after another. A sweaty Christmas is a real possibility. I found a Christmas special Saturday that I really enjoyed, and it was on local 48.1, ME TV. That was just what I needed. I'm a bit tired of the usual things. I've had the standard Christmas fare up to my hair, so to speak. Year after year after year. It does become tiresome. It does the body good, to lighten up and have a laugh.
