Our high temperatures this month have tended to be far above normal. I'm not surprised. The pace of climate change and associated warming is accelerating. We do get some relief later in the week, and maybe rain. The rain is much needed. Lubbock will soon be drinking its own treated wastewater. Probably overdue for that move, as other water sources are strained by drought and Lubbock's insane population growth. The water that goes down the sink drains and toilets, and the piss you flush away, will compose a lot of what you'll be drinking in the future. But don't worry. It'll be treated and it'll be perfectly OK. It's a kind of Spaceship Earth strategy. It's necessary.
This blog is an ARTISTIC regional photo journal. I focus on mundane scenes. ANY AND ALL STATEMENTS I MAKE HERE ARE MY OPINONS ONLY! I OFFER NOTHING WHATSOEVER AS A STATEMENT OF FACT! The photographs are offered as ARTISTIC EXPRESSION ONLY! They are not representative of anything other than themselves. Most of the places mentioned here have surely changed substantially since they were visited. Check my list of recommended sites at the bottom of this blog!

On The Warm Side
It actually got what I would call hot, before the latest front, so the mornings and evenings are quite comfortable and cool again but the days remain warm and dry. I suspect that winter, when it arrives, will be sudden and extreme. I mean, why not? Everything else is screwed up.

Record Highs Continue
Hello Global Warming, say "HI!" to climate change, and kiss humanity's sorry ass goodbye. What does the future hold? Try mass starvation as crops fail, and a water crisis that will kill just as many as starvation. And nothing will be done, nothing can be done, the monkeys are too bloody stupid. It's too late now, anyway, to avoid catastrophe. It's a sure thing. Your children and grandchildren are going to have a grim existence in the shit heap you've created. But I'm sure the billionaires will be laughing all the way to the bank. May they rot in hell.
Now, this is just my personal opinion, but I happen to think that the only GOOD billionaire is one who's been murdered by an angry mob. Not that I would condone such a thing... because someone in that angry mob might get hurt.

Not Much Rain
It'll be turning dry and warm this week, with above normal temps. Above normal is the new normal as the planet heats up. And is it is heating up, beyond any reasonable doubt. GLOBAL WARMING! CLIMATE CHANGE! My home owner's insurance is going up, and I'm sure that's true for all of us. Florida and the Gulf Coast should be uninsurable. I'm tired of paying a premium because some people want to live in harm's way.
I did some more work outside today, because the morning was ideal for it. I started a job I did not expect to begin until much later, but why not do it now? I'm pleased with the result. I ought to have it finished this week.

Cool Cloudy Damp
Maybe we get some real rain instead of light mist or drizzle. We need real rain. It's windy as well. Once this spell is over it'll get warm and dry again. Warm is OK.
It is far from what I would consider cold. Too early for cold.
