Yes, Hot.

But the air is so dry, humidity so low, that it doesn't feel bad at all. Changes coming up though. Mornings are still cool and comfortable.

So It Gets Hot

Records will fall, records set in 2020. But then we get some more seasonal stuff, and I rather hope that all this record heat points to a relatively mild winter. Maybe no single digits? That would be nice.

But whatever the weather machine (HAHAHA) is doing, I intend to take care of business.

Hot By Saturday

Then the norther arrives and Sunday will be merely warm and quite cool for a few days early next week. That seasonal roller coaster is beginning to move.

Meanwhile, we all move on the loom of doom. Loom O' DOOOOM!

Hot Weekend

We've got another one of those weak fronts on the way but before it hits it'll be on the hot side. This is kind of an odd October. It'll be interesting to see whether Milton loses strength before it hits Florida, and interesting to see to what extent Florida will be ravished and ravaged by this hurricane. Global warming is real, and climate change is real, and there is no doubt at all that humanity is the root cause of all these changes. Fossil fuels are only part of the problem. Overpopulation is real, too. And that is part of the problem. In fact that might be the absolute core of global warming and the resulting climate changes. Humanity is a train wreck. Too much monkey and too little sapiens. Let's indulge in forbidden words and phrases:

GLOBAL WARMING

CLIMATE CHANGE

OVERPOPULATION

There. That was fun.

And do your children a favor-- give them forbidden books to read. They'll be better and smarter.

READ FORBIDDEN BOOKS!!!!

Florida Going Down?

Category 5 hurricanes are very unlikely in the absence of abnormal warming, and the governor of that state has banned any mention of global warming or climate change, so Floridians in the path of this hurricane should be greatly reassured. And does THE LORD not love Florida? All will be well, and all manner of thing shall be well. Fear not! I'm being sarcastic, of course. It's just a bit too warm and dry here, but mornings are still running cool and last evening outside with the usual chilled Chardonnay was very, very, nice. A record high by Saturday is possible but that is in advance of a system that will moderate our temps just a bit more than the last such weak system. All we've gotten lately are weak systems with no rain. We could sure use some rain.
