80 F Today?

It is supposed to be quite windy today, as well as quite warm. Rain is becoming elusive again, so I must water. This is Spring Break, I think. It means nothing to me. I have thought of some finishing touches I could apply to my landscaping efforts. I might take care of that today, although there is certainly no hurry. It is rather cloudy, but there is no rain in prospect.

For the most part, it is same old same old, and I like that just fine. I'm switching from Cabernet to Chardonnay. It's a seasonal thing. At some point I'll be shopping for craft beer but it's still a little early for that. Tonic water with a dash of grapefruit juice over ice is another summer favorite with me-- a nice refreshing beverage. Iced tea, of course. Lemonade and Limeade-- summer time approaches and I expect many record highs. Humanity marches toward extinction but I'm too old to give a damn. When the last of you finally dies, parched and starving, I will be long gone.

It Will Be Warmer Today

At my age, I do much better in warm and even hot weather. There is an issue with stiff joints and sore muscles. I am much more limber in heat, can lift more, and do more, in greater comfort. Heat and humidity, though, is quite another thing. Fortunately, we don't have that around here. Makes a huge difference!

I completely missed the Oscars. I watched Masterpiece Theater on PBS--"All Creatures Great and Small"-- far better. And no commercials!

Terrific Weather Today

But it still isn't warm enough for my taste, and it's a little too windy, but for the time of year, not bad at all. Again, lots done yesterday and today.

Warming Already

That norther wasn't much and I'm pleased. It never got below freezing and by noon I'm sure we'll be drenched in sunshine and next week looks quite good, although I don't really have much to do outside, I'll think of something. Dotting and crossing, so to speak. I'm pretty sure I'll give Lantana a try. My problem is that I overwater. That's what happened to the trumpet vine I planted a few years ago. I drowned it. Well, I don't be making that mistake again. Potato vine is something I would like to look into. I sure would like to find some bindweed. That would be ideal in many places, where fallen sunflower stalks have created a natural trellis.

A Norther

That was to be expected, but it isn't that cold. Just rather windy and uncomfortable. As usual, many things accomplished yesterday. Satisfactory.
