Cool and cloudy with a north breeze. I enjoyed it outside and did some clearing, something that will be even more demanding this time than last. It felt great outside and it was a preview of the roller coaster temps we begin to have at this time of year.

Record HIGH! And RAIN!
Yes, 106 F yesterday. Now we have a slight "cooling" trend. At least a little relief for a little while.
Actually, We had one more day at a record high of 107 F. That's rough. NOW it starts to moderate. Finally. I didn't get this installment up yesterday due to whatever.
And Saturday night, after that record heat, for the date, it rained. Yes, we had a few thunder showers after dark. That surprised me.

Record High?
Could be. The earth bakes and you can place the blame squarely on the human race. Humanity. Hypertrophied monkey brains on a reproductive binge. Too bloody stupid, on the average, to avoid shitting in their nest and making it uninhabitable. No wonder I've narrowed my focus to what is near to me.

Terrific Morning
It might hit 100 today but the morning is cool and breezy and I had quality time outside, and also did some necessary work.
But forecasts have not been very accurate lately.

Worthless Weather Forecasts
It wasn't as hot as forecast yesterday, and then in the afternoon it got more and more cloudy until we had an intense thunder shower, and more rain after that. It seems that a wide area got significant rain, and that wasn't in the forecast either. We start off today just as we did yesterday. It'll be interesting to see how things develop. ERIS is the new Covid variant of interest and hospitalizations are up about 40% in the UK and about 12% in parts of the USA. Covid and its variants are here to stay. Get used to it.
What we probably need is a variant that will kill off the anti-vaccination crowd. Dream on.
