More Work Done

Finishing this project is going to be pretty easy from this point on, and for the time being I could actually consider it done. In fact, I've got two options and I'll think about which one I use. Plenty of time now.

And our spell of terrific weather continues. The wind is picking up but that actually feels good. It isn't windy enough to raise dust.

Really Nice Weather

I decided to take a time out. Most of the essential stuff is done. I'll start gathering what I'll need for another project soon. But there's no rush. Things are falling into place nicely.

So Much Accomplished!

I wasted no time this morning, completing another important project, no TWO important projects. One was rather difficult, akin to finding my way through an obstacle filled maze, and the other one was easy, requiring only improvisation and a minimal material expense.

I sure do like to get things done!

Rain For Easter

The rain came with a barrage of hail, as usual, looking for a while like a snowfall of several inches. But the hail was not large, not even as large as your typical Easter egg, so damage was minimal. But there was a lot of it. It happens every year. The rain was needed, but it just goes to show, that you can't have a boon without a bane. Offsetting penalties and no gain.

Yes, Yes, A Nice Weekend

You can actually feel humidity in the air! And there are chances of showers later. Will wonders never cease? I finally got all of Sue Grafton's novels in the "alphabet" series and I am going to read them all in order, even though that will mean re-reading many that I must have read ten years or more ago. That's fine. I have those to read in the evening and I have non-fiction to read during the day. I had an enjoyable and almost sublime time outdoors yesterday and I aim for the same today. I did some work on one of my pawnshop guitar finds yesterday and corrected some minor issues. The oldest guitar I have dates back to the early sixties. It is an acoustic from Western Auto that might have sold for as much as $15 back then. I got it at an estate sale, making a bid, and I was the highest bidder at not much more than that. It required extensive set up and fret work and a re-positioned bridge, but now it plays well right up to the 14th fret, perfect intonation, reasonable action, and it sounds funky and bluesy with a set of medium gauge electric guitar strings. I did NOT replace the tuners. They are primitive but cool.

Back to the sunflowers, at least for a while.
