Yet another nice day but winter is far from over. It will be somewhat cold this weekend. I'm enjoying this mild weather while it lasts.
If we can get through February without an arctic blast, we've got it made.
This blog is an ARTISTIC regional photo journal. I focus on mundane scenes. ANY AND ALL STATEMENTS I MAKE HERE ARE MY OPINONS ONLY! I OFFER NOTHING WHATSOEVER AS A STATEMENT OF FACT! The photographs are offered as ARTISTIC EXPRESSION ONLY! They are not representative of anything other than themselves. Most of the places mentioned here have surely changed substantially since they were visited. Check my list of recommended sites at the bottom of this blog!

Terrific weather for this time of year! Not bad at all, except for the persistent drought. That's not good. My eye exam went well, and it felt good to get that done. Back on the once per year schedule.
It's not even freezing this morning and the cloud cover might hint at rain chances. Not likely, though. Today I'll be having my first eye exam since early 2018. Seems to be about time. But when Covid hit I wanted to be fully vaccinated (I was sure there would be a vaccine) before I did that. Now of course, there is Omicron but I can't put it off any longer. It must be done. I've got a KN-95 mask, a lot of them in fact, and that's what I'll be wearing. Not long ago I got my annual dermatology screening. Can't neglect that either, since there was a time in my life when I got all too much sun.
Seasonal type temperatures and the drought continues. Nice and sunny today. Neither a joiner nor a lender be-- advice for the day. Ha. Ha. Really pleased that the Webb telescope has gotten through the most critical and difficult phases. The rest should be easy.
I've got a lot of these. Kind of fascinating subject matter, in that it's always the same thing but ever-changing. Now what does that remind me of? At any rate, although not freezing this morning it is windy and cold. But sunny. That helps. I have one very important little trip to make this morning, and then in for the day. I couldn't do it last week because there was ice on the roads! I happened to read about something called "deltacron" this morning. It combines the Omicron protein coat with Delta genetics. Just what nobody needed. It just goes on and on, doesn't it? Still too early to tell whether it's going to be very prevalent or very dangerous or very infectious. It seems that Covid is here to stay, in one form or another. On that unhappy note, let's have some more sunflowers!
