Still At The Car Wash

And stupid people are still doing stupid things. Humanity might not be too stupid to survive, but I have doubts about the "western world"-- lots of profoundly toxic nonsense floating around. Are Asians really smarter? Could be. And, if so, then let Asia rise-- and let the "western world" crash and burn.

That there are people running around loose, still supporting Trump and some sort of idiot "conservative agenda" is both mysterious and depressing. Where are the men in white coats when you need them? Would there be enough rubber rooms available, to hold the GOP base? How base is that base anyway? Have we seen the bottom yet? IS there a bottom?

So many crazies, and so many dim-bulbs, and so many both crazy and dim-witted. That is not a recipe for survival. It's more like a prescription for extinction. But most of the lunacy seems to be confined to one half of the globe. That's at least encouraging. Something might survive, elsewhere. Other cultures. Saner cultures.

That Old Car Wash In Lubbock

 That's where we are, now.

As usual, I wonder why it went out of business.

We'll be here for the next few days, and then, back to the garden, such as it is now, so late in the season.

Finish Here Go There Always In Lubbock

It would take exceptional circumstances to get me to go outside of town for photographs now, in the way that I used to. I can't even imagine what those circumstances would be. Unthinkable.

I zoomed in on this homeless person pushing a shopping cart full of possessions. That seemed to be a good way to finish this location. And now, on to the old, abandoned, car wash!

That car wash is right next to this place, which used to be a movie theater, and then it became a batting practice, and now is it is nothing but closed. Vacant, I guess, and it's been like that for years. I ought to check out the alley here. I don't think I've done that yet.

The car wash beckons! It was one of those do-it-yourself places. We'll be taking a close look, and we'll be finding signs that homeless people have used it for a shelter.

Look At Lubbock, I Dare You!

Yes, I actually dare you to look at Lubbock. Take a good look.

Lubbock has all these bits and pieces, so the question is, what does one look at when one looks at "Lubbock"? What is Lubbock, actually? This piece? That piece? No, but there's no option but to look at this piece there and that piece here. So, take a look at these here pieces. Ha. Ha.

Of course, with stuff like this, you've got to trust me that you are actually looking at something that constitutes Lubbock rather than some other place. It is true that other places are assembled from components that look much like this. But they would not be precisely THESE components. These components, the ones I reveal here, are indeed pieces of whatever it is I tell you they are-- in this case, Lubbock. I'm glad that's settled.

Why Not Keep Looking At Lubbock?

It isn't the worst thing in the world to look at.

It could be better, but it could also be worse-- much worse.

When I am all done with this stuff, I will be taking a look at an abandoned car wash! That'll be fun!
