Still Observing This Alley

Plenty of sights. When I'm finally finished with this it'll be back in the garden again. Should be safe enough in THAT jungle.

It's unlikely that I will ever find another alley as interesting as this one was.

When I began this, taking these photos, there were far fewer cases of COVID locally and nationally, and in the rest of the world. Now there are many more cases. And when I finish there will be many, many, more cases than there are today. You sort of wonder how long some people can stay in denial. I'm sure some people will go to their graves in denial: "It's all a hoax!" Could be a good epitaph. Carve it on their tombstones.

We Can Do An Alley

And do it up right. The bars have been closed. They should never have opened. Talk about non-essential. More like a public nuisance. Couldn't care less about the fate of bars.

Now, a Bar and Grill, well, that makes more sense. But it isn't even clear that those type places can operate safely. There is no way I would go to a restaurant. Not worth the risk. And that's sad. I'd hate to see our restaurants go under. I hope take out orders can keep them alive. I might try some take out this weekend. I'd go in with a mask, of course. And try to stay away from people. And hope they stay away from me. Before COVID I already had plenty of reasons to be depressed. Now-- I don't even want to think about it.

Still more to go.

More Colorful Alley

An alley like this would be a great place to have your delusional system collapse in. Or to have your alternate reality "post-truth" bubble burst. So peaceful.

One thing for sure, the COVID ain't going away, no matter what the loony toon buffoon says.

Reality rules, while fantasy just gets crushed.

Technicolor Alley

Sure seems like a lot of Texans are too dumb to take the elementary precautions required to reduce chances of infection. These are people who richly deserve their Darwin Awards. Unfortunately they're a threat to the rest of us, and a threat to the healthcare professionals who are trying to save their sorry butts. But Texans have never been known for being smart.

There's a lot of abstract expressionism going on this alley.

 Jackson Pollack?

Lots more alley to go, and lots more insanity, out in the world. What a world. What a nuthouse.

Let's Do Some More Alley

By the way, does it look to you like COVID is going away? Some people think so, but COVID is part of nature, and nature doesn't give a flying fork what you think, want, believe, or imagine. Have any evidence to the contrary? Can't see any signs of America being an exceptional  case, unless you're talking about exceptionally stupid. Your "constitutional rights" don't mean a damn thing to nature either. COVID will hit you no matter how much you whine about your pathetic "rights".  When it comes to nature, "rights" don't mean squat. At this point, I see no reason to think otherwise.

This alley would have been a much more congenial place if I had been the only one there, but it wasn't like that. What a drag. I did the best I could.

More of this outstanding alley next time!
