More Photos Near McKenzie Park

Lots of graffiti and signs of homeless "living" around here.

I wish I could find someone who will admit to having visited this place when it was a tourist court/nightclub.

It might have been colorful then but in a different way. More of this next time.

Soggy Sunday Morning In Lubbock

I was out with a camera, the trusty Kodak, on East Broadway, across from the entrance to McKenzie Park.

This has been around for many, many years. I have yet to find anyone with memories of it. At any rate, I have photographed this place many times over the years. It seems to have been a tourist court with a nightclub. Long ago.

This is what it looked like last Sunday Morning, after a rain.

More of these "ruins" next time.

New Stuff From New Braunfels, Rain In Lubbock

Thanks to my cousin I've got more pics from that junkyard in New Braunfels. Truck loads of new stuff have arrived.

It sort of looks like it was raining in New Braunfels, too. Sunday morning I took the Kodak to East Broadway near the entrance to McKenzie Park. It had rained again, in the early morning hours. It was very cloudy.

Sure enough, there was a little bit of flooding going on. Swiftly moving water but cars were passing through. I decided not to try it.

I hope it will be like this on July 4th. Still a long way off. Need more rain here. Then I walked across Broadway to re-photograph the ruins I've been checking off and on for almost 20 years now. Still there. That's for next time!

More Old Trucks

I'm going to finish this series off.

Good old trucks and one old car.

I believe I used the Nikon on these.

Now I have to find something else to photograph!

Memorial Day In Lubbock...

...is approaching. Weather has been stormy and rainy. Let's remember some old trucks. Let's honor those old trucks I found recently.

Trucks like these were for work and not for show. They weren't made out of plastic and all tricked out with junk. They were used for work. Period.

Steel. Functional. They weren't owned by, used by, or driven by weaklings. More next time.
