Eden, Texas

I used to drive through Eden but now I hang a right almost as soon as I get there, heading for Interstate 10, with a long stretch of divided highway and an 80 mph speed limit.

Eden is actually not a bad looking little town, but I no longer drive through that part. I also avoid speed traps in Brady, and a lot of twisting two-lane blacktop through the hill country.

More From Big Spring

Here are more views of Big Spring:

The next photos will be from Eden, a long way down the road from here.

It Is Time For Something A Little Different

My wife and I drove SOUTH and on the way I took photos. I took photos in Big Spring, Eden, and New Braunfels.

The photos above were taken in Big Spring, at a location where I have been buying gas for years, whenever I make this trip. This time I did not need gas. We stopped here to get some snacks and stretch a bit. Big Spring is looking more prosperous than it has in years, thanks to the BIG OIL BOOM. But truck traffic is heavy! Many trucks are carrying fracking fluids. Yes, in Texas, there is a whole lot of fracking going on.
