Oh no! But it is New Home, Texas.
Yes, this is a new home, Texas style.
Yes, New Home is a town where Texans live, and they are very proud of who and what they are, all ready to fight the battle of the Alamo all over again, one supposes, or the Civil War, all over again. What you see here is what you get. I only saw, myself, a few grizzled old farts with big guts. But, no doubt, they were true-blooded Texans. Then again, they might have been mere drugstore cowboys from San Francisco just passing through. Who knows? I ask no questions. I only record what I see. I did not photograph any people. I never photograph people. I only photograph things that stand still. These are the things that stood still in New Home, that stood out for me, that seemed to tell me what I wanted to know about New Home.
We are not yet done with New Home. Not by a long shot.
