And NOW the Southplains Fair. We didn't find the food booths open on the first day of the event. Only a few were in business, even as late as noon. Seems to us that it was a missed opportunity for revenue. The volunteer organizations are probably hurting for volunteers.
The rest of it was what we have come to expect.
It was a nice enough day for it.
We don't do rides.
The carnies call this stuff "slum". It's what they give away.
We will finish the fair next time, and move on to more of Lubbock's alleys.
