More New Braunfels 2019

Widening the view somewhat, to take a look at housing, distinctively New Braunfels.

This one is deserted and has been so for a long time. Relatives lived there once, and I remember it from my childhood.

A Baptist church bought it, but they never seemed to do much with it. They do mow the lawn. But the house is becoming a ruin. Baptist churches are like a plague, in that sooner or later they turn everything within a mile of the church into a parking lot. That might be what they intend for this place. I hope not.
Memories here. Next time, we'll be viewing Easter Aftermath in a parking lot owned by the same Baptist church.

New Braunfels 2019

I'm keeping the close focus, for the most part.

I really don't like long shots or wide screen panorama stuff.

Does anyone really have to know just exactly WHAT they are looking at?

Some things are not hard to interpret.

This is New Braunfels, Texas. Who needs more info than that?
More next time! There's going to be some awesome stuff! Eventually.

New Braunfels Texas 2019 #1

Odds are there will be a second installment of New Braunfels, Texas, later in the year.

As usual, I'm doing the microcosm approach. No wide angles and no long shots. I like details. The stuff above is known locally as "loquats".  Up north they call it a Japanese Plum. Either way they are tasty although they are mostly seeds, and big seeds, too. They can be made into a great jelly if you like that kind of drudgery.

Not wise to eat too many at one sitting.

More details. I'm gonna string these pics out, a few at a time. Lots more to come.

So! Now! More Lubbock!

Last time around I posted a pic of the entrance to an alley in downtown Lubbock. Let us see what is in that alley! Yes, I went there.

These alleys never fail to be interesting.

They are funky.

You never know what you will find. And, next update, we will be in New Braunfels. Those pics will have to be reduced in size, because of the camera I used. Sorry.
