A Lubbock Neighborhood On The Chopping Block

This is not far from Marsha Sharp Freeway and Municipal Drive.

We got these photos several months ago. By this time, the area has probably been leveled.

We need to visit this area again.

Next time, we will examine more Lubbock obscurities.

Cool Cars In Lubbock, Texas

We found these in McKenzie Park last Memorial Day-- a local car club had an event there.

Are these not works of art?

Awesome paint jobs!

 Even a kid-size car!

Mostly Chevrolets, as you can see...

But there was one sharp T-Bird:

It was done up in BLUE.

And Now More Floydada

Downtown and around downtown...

Residential and commercial...

This old Triumph is beyond rescue, I think.

That's a shame.

Lots of ruins in Floydada.

Things were not very lively when we visited. Of course, it wasn't during the big Pumpkin Festival!
That's when things heat up!

We found an elementary school that had been abandoned. That's ominous.

It was a large school, too, but now it is empty. That's all of Floydada. Next time I'll feature a collection of fine cars we found in McKenzie Park here in Lubbock, where a local Chevrolet club had a gathering.
