No Kings

I'm perfectly in favor of "no kings" or any other form of resistance to antidemocratic authoritarian regimes. The world fought a war against fascism back in the day, and for good reason. There always seem to be people around who can't wait to kiss some dictator's ass, and eat shit. And we have no shortage of people who want to make other people eat their shit. It makes one want to say, "I will not serve." Let the state serve the people. Of course, when you have so many loony toons running around, like the rapture freaks who got shafted yet again, nothing is likely to work very well. Will there be a FOURTH rapture date set? Of course. This sort of nonsense has been going on for a very long time. Meanwhile, we have a very nice day today. That norther made it through and it is cool and breezy, with plenty of sunshine after an overnight rain. FINE October weather!

There have always been goofballs around, but with social media, these crazies are able to communicate with each other and find validation from other crazies and half-wits. Social media just might destroy civilization. It just might. 

Warm Today Cooler This Weekend

 Drifting slowly off into lower temperatures, by degrees. Ha. 

See, I was talking about temperatures changing and then I said "by degrees". Ha. 

Almost Perfect

 These October days have been almost perfect. The evenings and mornings, especially, have been very, very, fine. 

I'm quite satisfied with the state of my secret garden as winter approaches. 

Sunny Cool

 Total change this morning. Quite cool and sunny. But good rain yesterday. Can't complain. 

This ought to be a pretty fine week, in terms of our weather. Perfect for October. 

Gloomy Wet Cloudy

 No heavy rains, just light drizzle, foggy mist, and clouds but the rest of this month is looking quite good. Very good, in fact. I've surveyed the yard in back and it seems to me that nothing is left but detail work and routine maintenance. That's OK with me. Maybe I'll think of something else to do back there, some innovation of some sort. Whatever. I have not heard much about any raptures lately. The revised date came and went with the usual failure. But a brand new end times cult seems to be forming. Cults seem to be a dime a dozen. Some are quite dangerous but most are only destructive to the poor folks who get drawn into one. A long time ago I dated a women who claimed to have escaped from a cult but she seemed to be looking for another one. What scared me was when she said I reminded her of that cult's leader. Oh no. I believe she ended up in Colorado and got into mystical healing via electronic music. I introduced her to electronic music by playing for her one of my own compositions. I hope that worked out well for her. She was a nice lady. 

Maybe she became the leader of her very own cult.
