Record Highs Again!

After a few days with record high temps (but mornings still rather cool) we get a pretty nice week next week with rain chances. I got more done outside this morning, more to do Saturday morning, and maybe a bit more next week. I've covered most of the bases.

It will be rather cloudy for several days, but that's OK.

Pleasant Today

Moderately cool and lots of work done outside. I'm starting to feel like I need a rest. Maybe I will take it easy, or at least easier tomorrow.

I expect a pleasant evening on the patio in a little while. Pleasant is the operative word today.

Record Heat, Cloudy, Cool tomorrow

I didn't do much today. I spent some time watching the Master's. So relaxing. Not at all uncomfortable today. I enjoy my favorite iced drink: sugar free tonic water on the rocks with a splash of unsweetened grapefruit juice. This evening a nice cabernet. On the patio. Warm as it is today it will turn cooler when the sun sets. That's an excellent time to be outside. I'll take advantage of the cooler temps this week to do more outside. Not much in the way of rain chances, unfortunately.

I'm not sure when that front is supposed to hit us. Overnight, I guess.

Getting Hot!

It is getting to be on the hot side, but the air is so dry it does not feel bad at all.

Cool Mornings Very Warm Days

It's going to be downright hot Sunday but that's in advance of a front that will cool us nicely. Lots of variety at this time of year. I did my outdoor work early and it was so very pleasant. I love to work outside. Great evening on the patio yesterday, but it's too cool in the mornings for coffee on the patio. It won't be as shady this summer because I had to cut down a tree. It made me sad to do that but it was necessary. But it does look as though I will have those giant sunflowers again, maybe not as dense as in years past. The effects of our recent rain and snow were minor. I must water again.

When one of Elmo's breed mares foals, does he say "Hottsie tottsie, more nazi!" Enquiring minds want to know. Children in my elementary school were still fighting WWII-- that's where I got that phrase, and I think it originated in wartime Popeye cartoons. Those cartoons were still used as content on kiddie shows back in the day. A local celebrity, Captain Gus, hosted such a show. Would that we had a real, live, Popeye the Sailor, with an endless supply of spinach! Popeye would make short work of Elmo, kicking his ass all the way to Mars!
