A sunny day is always welcome, except when we need rain, and we don't.
It's crisp. Like LISP? Does anybody use that anymore?
This blog is an ARTISTIC regional photo journal. I focus on mundane scenes. ANY AND ALL STATEMENTS I MAKE HERE ARE MY OPINONS ONLY! I OFFER NOTHING WHATSOEVER AS A STATEMENT OF FACT! The photographs are offered as ARTISTIC EXPRESSION ONLY! They are not representative of anything other than themselves. Most of the places mentioned here have surely changed substantially since they were visited. Check my list of recommended sites at the bottom of this blog!

It was quite warm yesterday. A cold front today has chilled us a bit, but it didn't freeze and doesn't look bad at all. Still no polar vortex or bomb cyclone on our horizon. It looks as though it will be mostly sunny today. Email was squirrely this morning. Working fine now. I really hate the digital world. Truly I do. The less I have to do online the better I like it.
For us it was not a hard freeze. I've seen no damaged vegetation. It could be a week or more before the next freeze. Leaves are turning, however, and trees are shedding leaves. Plenty of sunshine and comfortable temperatures for the weekend. The Thanksgiving forecast is not bad at all. I recall a Thanksgiving, back when I lived in a dormitory, that was warm and windy and very dusty.
We might have our first freeze tomorrow morning, which would put an end to our growing season. I've been dreading that. At least we had a fairly warm October.
Yesterday and this morning it poured down again, and the playa lakes are REALLY full now, just in time for the arrival of migratory birds. They will find things in good condition to winter over here. It's unusual to have such a wet Fall. Maybe that means we'll have a lot of snow, but I hope not. Snow is a pain. And ice is worse.
In the photo above, is a view of bindweed. I hope for great things from this stuff.
