Yesterday and this morning it poured down again, and the playa lakes are REALLY full now, just in time for the arrival of migratory birds. They will find things in good condition to winter over here. It's unusual to have such a wet Fall. Maybe that means we'll have a lot of snow, but I hope not. Snow is a pain. And ice is worse.
In the photo above, is a view of bindweed. I hope for great things from this stuff. This blog is an ARTISTIC regional photo journal. I focus on mundane scenes. ANY AND ALL STATEMENTS I MAKE HERE ARE MY OPINONS ONLY! I OFFER NOTHING WHATSOEVER AS A STATEMENT OF FACT! The photographs are offered as ARTISTIC EXPRESSION ONLY! They are not representative of anything other than themselves. Most of the places mentioned here have surely changed substantially since they were visited. Our Fine Weather
Our fine weather continues as the bindweed grows and spreads. One weed to bind them all. Heehee. It's a little windy today but it will be warm. Some strange things have happened. Maybe I shouldn't be surprised. Some things are not under my control.
It was fine outside last evening. I kind of got lost in thought for a while and time slipped away.

Norther
But at least we have plenty of sunshine. Warm by Saturday. Cold Sunday. And so on.
Made more incremental improvements last evening to the general layout. Moving planters and removing obstacles.

Quite A Nice Day Again
We might have a freeze next week, but not a hard freeze. Until then it will be even bordering on warm during the day. I can't complain about the weather-- yet.

Nice Morning!
Cool and sunny with no breeze so no wind chill problems. I was out in the morning sun wearing next to nothing behind my privacy fence, soaking up the rays. I won't have many opportunities for such activity once winter sets in. Enjoy it while I can, I say. Last evening I drank most of a bottle of an aged Llano Blush. Quite good, and something to savor. Bottled twenty years ago, it aged well. My project this morning involved making natural trellises for bindweed out of the old sunflower stalks. Yes, I have bindweed, and some other as yet unidentified vine with large leaves growing in my backyard and I welcome that stuff. I can kill the bindweed easily if it ventures into any areas where I don't want it. I've already experimented with various common liquids and I've found a few things that are effective and not environmentally harmful. For me to know and for others to learn for themselves.
I had a weight session, first thing, of course. Later, the gym. In between, a few errands.
