Cool Mornings, Warm Days, Pleasant Evenings

No rain. The playa lakes are going dry again. Nice enough weather but rain is needed. I did some work outside this morning and it was cool. Yesterday evening I revised the paved path I made much earlier this year. I noted some very aggressive climbing vines spreading here and there and that's something I want very much. I have not seen that before. Small leaves, rather arrowlike in shape. I hope it will flower at some point. I want that stuff to take over in the back yard.

A Weak Norther

Weak or not the north wind was chilly this morning but high temps continue above normal. and the air remains dry. This is the first day of my favorite month, and I hope to savor each and every day of October, especially the last one. Lots of good memories there.

I remember October of 1957, and Sputnik! That was an exciting time.

IDIOTS

TTUHSC/UMC is under a ransomware attack. Just recently they digitized everything and were so proud to be "paper free". And I say, that was an IDIOT move. And I wonder about the competence of their IT department. This should never have happened. This is what you get when half-wits decide to do the digital dance and become "paper free". IDIOTS.

I wonder whether people are still able to get their prescriptions refilled? I wonder about all the people who had procedures pending? I think once this is cleared up, IF it can be cleared up, there should be a mass purge of the administration and IT staff-- at least use paper records as a backup. IDIOTS.

SOSO

Terrific mornings and evenings and mild, warm, days. No dust in the air. Rain would be nice. Very dry again, but it's great to be out of the August heat. I like it.

I like IT and IT likes me. And I like IT like THAT. So THERE.

Well...

We are having really fine weather, with sweater mornings and t-shirt days. And excellent evenings. All is calm. Only negatives are the lack of rainfall recently-- any significant rainfall-- and the mosquitos. The little buggers are still around and West Nile is still a hazard.

And these conditions are expected to continue right into the early part of October. No change in sight! Maybe this winter we can be spared the single digit arctic blasts, and the bomb cyclones??
