Snow Ice Wind

 It looks like we will have some sort of one day winter event on the day of the Super Bowl. I won't watch it because it goes on forever, with endless commercials, relentless hype and amped up crowd noise. Also, an interminable half-time show that I would find boring. If I sat through all that I'd hate myself. I have better things to do. If I can possibly get outside I certainly will. I'm already disgusted by the pre-game blather. There's nothing more inane than sports talk. 

I know that most people will be glued to their TVs, but I feel that doing what most people do is generally a bad idea, and likely to be more than a little stupid. 

Not Bad At All

 It's a bit cloudy but not at all cold and rain chances are minimal. The system battering California is sending clouds our way but they've lost all their moisture-- rained out. SOME rain would be great, but not the torrents that batter California. 

It's been a pretty fine February, so far, and so much better than the last few years. 

So Nice!

 Mild temps continue, plenty of sunshine and the winds have not been that bad, though a little dust has gotten in the air. So far this has been the best February I can remember. Extended forecast features the same old same old and I can dig it. But more rain would be nice. 

Cool And Windy

 It's windy enough to put a haze of dust in the air. Yesterday's rain threat wasn't much. I got only a few drops. If not for the wind it would be comfortable outside. 

Cool, Cloudy, And Slight Rain Chances

 It's a little more like winter today but I accomplished everything I needed and wanted to do and went a bit beyond that. Satisfactory. 

I'm still using that zooming image stabilized lens I got for the Nikon years ago. It's awesome.
